I've always been attracted to the place as well. I've also heard the the poverty is so grueling and the economic inequality so great that if Adam Smith visited, he might have been more like Marx.
ReplyDeleteI'm talking out of my ass on the example, but the point still stands. I saw that girl and thought of Slumdog Millionaire and I winced a bit picturing her begging with one eye.
Damn that's glum. Totally out of character for me, but one of my main hesitations nonetheless.
